Utah's oldest and BEST gun shows!

UGCA will cease operations
by December 31, 2022
There will be no future UGCA gun shows.

Dear UGCA Members and Guests:

UGCA will cease operations by December 31, 2022.

The UGCA Board of Directors has voted unanimously:
That UGCA cease operations no later than December 31,  2022, and that our remaining assets be disbursed to deserving firearms related groups, holding back enough for any outstanding obligations (bills or taxes, etc).”

UGCA has conducted hundreds of gun shows since its founding in 1960, and many other fun activities such as picnics and historic arms shooting sessions.   Many friendships have been made, and collections enhanced with the exchange of items between members and show attendees.   Thousands of visitors to our shows have enjoyed the educational displays and learned about the technical, historical or artistic merits of firearms.   Living history folks have added tremendously to our shows with their interactions with guests.   These have provided wonderful memories we can cherish for the rest of our lives.

The UGCA Board extends their sincere thanks to all the people who created the Utah Gun Collectors Association in 1960 and who have helped keep it going for 62 years.   That includes everyone who has ever served as director or officer, arranged social events, posted flyers or coupon boards, collected tickets, numbered tables during set up, or helped with banners, and all the other jobs large and small.  Special thanks to Linda Evans for her unsurpassed work on shows and club administration for over 20 years.

I look forward to seeing friends from UCGA at other events in the future, and on our excellent Facebook page, which will continue!  But, I am truly saddened that it will no longer be at the “oldest and best gun shows in Utah.”

Regretfully,
Jimmy Campbell
UGCA Vice President

John M. Browning Day
January 24, 2011!

The Utah Gun Collectors Association, private collectors, museums and other groups joined together to honor Utah's firearms genius, John M. Browning, at the Utah State Capitol on January 24th.

This included an exhibit of every type of gun invented by John M. Browning, and a ceremony where our Governor, our National Guard Adjutant General, a senior USAF officer and John M. Browning's great-grandson spoke about his contributions.

Take a few minutes to review the photos and story about this event. Be sure to check out the neat videos (including a 56 minute history of Browning and his inventions). This was a one-day, once in a lifetime event that we want to share with you.

Gun Shows and Events

Part of the pleasure of gun collecting is learning about the historical, technical, and artistic features associated with firearms.
Gun shows provide members, and the general public, a chance to appreciate these aspects.  People with old guns handed down in the family often bring them to our shows to find out more about them, or have them evaluated by experts.  We also support firearms safety training programs by the National Rifle Association and local instructors.
